All Managers
We (SIM SPEEDWAY) are in danger of losing managers because some managers hardly ever respond to other manager PM's, whatever the subject.
Transfers can take place at any time in the season and the number of inter-club activity is dropping to the point that one current manager believes he only resubmits his team weekly due to others not taking note of his PM's or mails regarding buying into riders, this season I made an active transfer by buying an active rider and loaning another active rider back in the other direction, we don't see enough of this.
Many quote the lack of posts made and these are getting less over time.
So moving into 2018 can we see a more positive approach from us all.
Lets liven up Sim to be fun for us all, surely we don't want it to fall into the decline REAL SPEEDWAY is DO WE.
COME ON HELP SIM remain vibrant, we often talk about the lack of inter-club transfers, it may be the lack of communication is killing off this part of Sim.
In the RULES it states checking the forum at a minimum every couple of days, that way if you have any PM's they can be dealt with.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
Looking forward to your responses.
FRED

I will be honest that is the biggest thing I’ve noticed since coming back this year is the total lack of interaction between managers and posts on managers pages . I have tried to post on my manager section at least when something happens at the club and updating my club stats weekly but it used to be that nearly everyone posted and the banter between managers was hilarious at times. I know time is precious for us all and there a far more important things going on in our lives at times but there is definitely something missing from sim as it is at the moment. Having said that I’m loving being back and looking forward to next season

Likewise always look forward to a new season, but the inactivity makes me wonder is it all the work we do worth it.
I feel Managers should create their own activities if they don't think there is enough going on, ask Graeme at Teesside, who has done marvels with his team changes this year and over the years or Paul at Bottesford who is building up some good things.
Cheers
Fred

For me, the problem with the forum is it is TOO big - we don't need club pages for each league, we dont need five sections in SIM news alone, lets just have posting for all teams in one page - that would also help some of us from the UL etc get to know other sides down below.
I think it could be very intimidating to someone new, I have been on here for years and still struggle to navigate sometimes - it can all be narrowed down to about a quarter of the size at least
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS TEAM POSTINGS TACTICS
Do we need anything else? if we all post in the same place - I think it would help us interact more.
Just my thoughts....

Interesting thoughts Graeme.
Would be good to know how many managers bother to read posts from leagues other than their own and do you even read anybody elses posts even in your own league?

Getting close to being a long serving Simmer ( and not just my age Robert 😀)
I tend to concentrate on the league/ leagues I'm in. I do check others but normally to see how riders I've worked with or out on loan to keep a check on them.
I do do look at Sim World regularly and look at European leagues to check out riders.
reading other sides posts on occasions but not often enough.

I agree with the forum is to big, if you condense it you then get everyone in the same place. It’s like a pub, it’s one big room not loads of different rooms to separate people into different interests and supporters of different teams, your all together to debate and interact.

Graeme,
taking on board your thoughts, it does look likely the way forward.
Steven (Hunt)
I do like your idea of it being a community pub so look forward to plenty of interaction
Cheers Guys

I have to agree regarding the forum being too dispersed. I am a new manager and am never sure where I need to look. Condense it down to one forum page with multiple subjects then I wont miss anything important.

I agree with Darren at Leeds I usually look at the Leagues my 2 teams are in but not the other 2. I have posted several items during the season and they got many views but no replies.
I have missed other important posts because I only look at certain areas if it was condensed with each post shown as a new topic I would be able to follow it easily.

We are going to strip down the forum, to make it simpler to view and work in. Mark all new posts are marked NEW, but at times are superseded as a later post is viewed. You can request the latest posts. Cheers

I do tend to look at the threads of my league - but the web site is great Im always flicking trhough leagues seeing how sides are doing and how my loanees and ex racers are faring - adds to it Yes Maybe one thread per league may work - I use mine a bit - and I AM ENJOYING THE sorry caps on - talking point thread - seems to be getting read if not a lot of comments - maybe I should be more controversial and add a bit more banter/fun - I'll spice it up this week - see what happens Incidently my local side Scunny have watered the senses with their top five !!!!
