Bottesford have declared their 2022 line up
1. PETR MARKO - 23 CZ
All time Bottesford point scorer Petr returns again to lead the side in 2022 - The World No.2 didn't quite hit the heights he sets himself last term, dropping 0.5 off his starting average and just missing out for a third season on the World top spot. He aims to put all these to rights and, at just 23, he can beleive that his time at the top is due and can be long running as he has vast experience at a tender age. Petr is lining up them all in his sights for the season to be !!!!!
2. LEWIE CARR - 25 ENG
Lewie returns to the scene of plenty of glory, after rebuilding a slightly stuttering career, at Aldershot. The former DOUBLE British Champions' form over the last two seasons, saw him return to the ENGLISH national team. Bottesford were keen to get him back into their line up and the mutual respect and familiarity worked for all. Lewie still has lots to do in the sport at the highest levels and he sees this as his opportunity to push towards GP standards that he was moving towards as he reached his 20s, exciting times,
3. JANUSZ PALA - 26 POL
Janusz had a truly outstanding 2021 Power League campaign for Newmarket Raiders and Bullets' supremo, Paul Duff, was keen to get him into the team, but the full signing was not possible. Janusz won his GP challenge Semi Final in style but had an unlucky night with his engines on the final after a decent start and missed out. The Pole is considered a class act at all levels and many see this as a great opportunity to realise that potential with a shot at this level,
4. RILEY PAYNE - 19 ENG
It is no secret that Duff has long coveted Riley, having tried to acquire him in the past. He has HUGE potential and has been around the International scene forever, despite still only being 19. Another DOUBLE GB U21 winner AND WORLD U21 Champion, he seemed to stutter last season, despite averaging a respectable 6.11, many saw it as a backwards step, MK Cats weren't keen to let him go , but Riley and Duff see this as a real opportunity to change scenery and give his career a shot in the arm.
5. BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK - 28 - POL
At 28 Boguslaw has all the pedigree - in 2019 AND 2020 he was WORLD GP champion by 20 pts plus - last term he had a dip, by his HUGE standards yet still he is a Heat leader of TOP drawer status and Bottesford snapped him up along with the exciting Payne in a double swoop. The Big Pole had missed out on a GP run and is hurt, he has a superb team behind him and he is determined to push himself, Petr Marko and the team to the very top. By mutual consent Boguslaw will take the team captaincy, something he was keens on, Petr wanted to move out of the captain role to sort his own GP series out and focus, so this seemed a win-win scenario. The BIG POLE Means business so this will surely benefit the Bullets, a loan that most would love to see a full transfer.
6. ALEX KELLY - 18 - ENG
Alex burst onto the scene in 2021 and was very well sought after - he remains an Aldershot asset, but very much sees himself in the Ultimate League - it could be seen as a gamble to push to this level, but Alex is mature beyond his years and anted to take the plunge given success at U21 level too for England, a very exciting racer, with huge sponsorship behind him, many see him as a future English national team regular and GP star, if he stays focused and injury free.
7. EDWARD SCZWARC - 21 - POL
The 3rd and final Pole in the 2022 line up is Edward Sczwarc. Ed raced for Aldershot in 2019 and scored well, to well that they couldn't fit him into their line up last term. Reading snapped him up and he did more than ok in the main body for the Southern outfit before a minor dip when moved to No4. saw him replaced along with an under performer for a big hitting Heat Leader. An U21 Poland regular of high calibre, he is considered to be something of a steal at reserve
That concludes a very strangely LOANEE biased 1-7 - most of which were highly wanted on FULL deals, but much to the dismay of the promotion, remain temporary , for now !!

The Bullets feel they have pissed on a witch with two tough opening away meetings, though narrow losses at the two previous league champions, both by 41-49 scorelines suggests that all is not lost.
The trip to defending champs Aberavon saw the Bullets put in a good effort for little reward in the end, though the 8 point margin may prove a trump if they get the home win and the bonus point in the return leg. New boys Boguslaw Kryznowek (11) and Janusz Pala (12) led the scoring but Lewie Carr showed his battling credentials at this level with a race win, Petr Marko was unlucky o be crowded out his 4th race after missing the gate and running a last. The 2 reserves and Riley Payne weren't at a loss either as the first meeting in a tough match up gave food for thought.

Week 2 saw the Bullets make another trip to Necrons - though previous visits to Halas Owen have yielded points, the lads lost again by the same scoreline they managed in Wales. This time though the Heat Leaders fired well, but were undone by superb efforts by the Necrons second string and higher points tally at reserve That said, Alex and Ed can take heart from their start to the season - two away losses is not ideal but not a disaster

Bottesford gained their first win of the season with a hard fought victory over Tweedside Tigers with all contributing well
2 Heat maximums in 4/5 put the hosts firmly in control (21-15) and the Lincs outfit never really looked like conceding this, despite the efforts of visiting No.5 Louis Joossens, who was in fine form for the Tweedside Tigers, scoring the bulk of their points. Janusz Pala top scored for the Bullets, but was ably supported - the big duo of Marko (7) and Kryznowek (7) scored well but both ran a last, whikst Riley Payne (9+2) and Lewie Carr (7+1) had a decent night. Alex Kelly, at 6. howed his potential with a healthy paid 8, whilst Ed Szwarc struggled to get going really.

Bullets tread water
Bottesford have hardly set the season alight with the 4s a really damp squib.
Frustratingly a few home assets are doing fine on the UL stage, whilst the home septet are mostly seeking form
Petr Marko has been outstanding for 5 seasons and has numerous GP podium finishes, but his normal slow start to the season has lingered and he doesn't quite seem himself - he is struggling in the GP series and not firing in the league - All racers get a dip but Petr is alarmed by his form - Still there is time
Lewie Carr has returned to the side and has added to his SA and is keen to push on further
Janusz Pala has taken over the No.1 jacket and is performing well, though he feels he can add more to his game
Riley Payne is holding his own but there seems to be a spark to come
Boguslaw Kryznowek has done pretty much ok, the former World No.1 still can't recapture the world beating form but has added to his SA
Alex Kelly is another young gun who is doing well - he thinks he can be better and the management hope so too
Valentyn Danyliuk has come in and scored well, replacing the out of sorts Norbert Szoka
Mid season and its a tale of what ifs so far - very disappointing 4s has t be forgotten and the lads need to step it up

the 2022/23 Bullets have started pretty well
Frankie Young and Tyrone York have returned ‘home’ and are scoring well. Bona fide GP racer, Frankie has scored well and wins heats home and on the road, whilst Ty has hit superb form thus far and added over a point to a healthy starting average and is pushing Frankie and Petr Marko hard for the top spot. Petr has started better than usual and, though only 25 seems to have been at the too for a lot longer, the domestically and internationally decorated star has settled into his stride well thus far. New signings Isaac Jelacic and Adrien Dziedzic, have been steady iif unspectacular, but are contributing well, with good scores, if they hit consistency then this could be a big season. Another new boy, Dominik Pandur has started very well and is looking to move out of the reserve berth on merit. Sadly young Dane, Malthe Jensen has been really struggling and off the pace, so it was as decided it was best for all parties to take him out of the limelight. In comes Sondre Haug, an exciting Norwegian for his UK debut this week. Sondre has added over 2 pts to his Euro League 1 starting average and it was fr he had the spark needed in the Bullets’ reserve berth.

Moody Marko ruing injury
Petr is sitting on the sidelines chomping at the bit to get going again as he recovers from a dislocated elbow - he fears the injury may hit his GP title chances as he has already missed one round and will again sit it out this week in the Scandinavian GP.
Equally importantly, as he has started so well, he’s desperate to get back in the Bullets race jacket, as the Lincs outfit are in the mix on most fronts, thus far.
Still he must wait for the Doctor to approve and Bottesford again turn to a Guest replacement. Michel Hayveart proved good cover in the recent big 50-40 statement away win st Smallmead over a tough to beat Reading side.

World U21 joy for Dominik Pandur and Isaac Jelacic as they both qualify for the FINAL
Dominik continued his sparkling 2022 (added 1.32 to his start average) by qualifying in 8th place in SF2 - Isaac, another Bullet in a very good 2022 run of form (added 1.41 to starting average)
Both are hoping for a good performance and a bit of luck in the final, and don't feel out of their depth, both will be taking a positive attitude into the final.

Bullets rue the loss off World U21 Number 4 Isaac Jelacic as they face the crucial last 2 meetings of the season - needing a win to take the UL crown. Jelacic broke a rib in a nasty spill in the narrow home win over an in-form King's Lynn side on Friday.
They are now forced to operated R/R for Jelacic which, whilst they should still be strong at home, may cause a problem or tow on the road
The Bullets will be going all out to claim all the points available in their last 2 meetings

Very much resisting the urge to swear - an injury to a very in form number 4 at the crucial stage of proceedings may derail a fab season
Tough luck but we go again and fortunately Isaac will be back for the last meeting away
