The Wasps were away in week 1 of the EL season at the Border Braves and returned empty handed plus a long drive back to Wales. The result was a 48 - 41 loss Wasps scores:

Mike Van Arsden, Davie Langfield & newcomer Kyastas Girutsky all continued there pre season form, Mike was in scintillating form scoring 16+1 Young hopeful Sam Ives struggled with Braves track and Philo Foley failed to score Coach Finch will have to get Foley firing soon and build his confidence. Both reserves Lance and Glyn got on the score sheet.

The Wasps won away from home, coach Joe Finch was over the moon with the lads commitment. They travelled to Leyton after an opening week loss. Scores for the Wasps:

Glyn Sansom............... 3 1* 3 1* 3 - 11+2 The result was a 43-47 win, scores were level going into heat 14 Kyastas and {RS} Glyn Sansom pulled a 5-1 out of the bag so going into heat 15 our youngsters Kyastas and Sam only needed a point they team rode to keep Leyton number 1 Harkins behind they to take a 3-3.
Sam Ives is only 17 and a heat leader for us and rising star Glyn Sansom only 16 both getting double figure scores.
Really pleasing result for Glynogwr.

Onto week 3 for the wasps and a Welsh Derby against Newport Exiles a good crowd turned out on a cold night to see some great racing. The Wasps losing at home 43-47

Mike and Davie both got into double figure scores and both Sam and Glyn contributed 7 each. Exiles Yakin and Viyups both took a liking to the Wasps grippy track and gave the home side some tough racing.

The new riding order since the average change has helped the Side Foley now at reserve is picking up points and Ives is settling in at the tough number 2 berth alm the side is scoring points.
The Wasps are now at the highest position since becoming a speedway side and have 2 away wins this season.

The Wasps entertained the Estuary Whalers in the Wasps first ever Semi finals of the KO Cup, the first leg was away at the Megano stadium and the Wasps keeping the score down to 4 points losing 47-43. The home leg produced a great crowd for the Pen-Y-Groes stadium of over 1100 supporters from both sides. It was great to see both Sam Ives and Glyn Sansom representing the Wasps in the British under 18's Final. Sam finished 5th and Glyn 10th.

The Wasps season continues to improve and build confidence the latest meeting at home to Estuary proved to show the improvement in the side as the fought back from being 10 points down after 6 heats to draw 45-45, even going into heat 14 the Wasps were still 6 points down but a 5-1 from Kyastas and Philo pulled it back to within 2 points. Ever dependable Mike Van Arsden won the heat and Kyastas again held onto 3rd to get the draw.
Great night's racing from both sides.

Well what can you say The Wasps have won the KO Cup in a thrilling 2 leg final against Ashton. The Wasps won the first leg at home 49-41 with everyone contributing. 1. Then onto Ashton with a a 8 point lead and the fans hoping Mike and Davie will be on top form. The Wasps managed a 48-42 loss to end up Cup winners, by 2 points. Davie Langfield was in great form supported by Sam Ives.
