Bottesford continued their impressive start to the season with a closely fought home win over Durham Speed Demons. Skipper and Bullets No1 Martin Greer led from the front with an impressive five ride paid maximum. Greer was supported well by Tommy Davey, guesting for the injured Hamish Hamilton, who scored 10. Reserve recruit Craig Leonard had another very good meeting on a busy night as the Bullets lost Ricky Ede with a muscle injury after an awkward heat 5 tumble, Ricky is set to miss out this week's KO cup matches against Southside Oglala, but Hamilton will return to the side. Lewie Carr made a handy 8 points including two big heat wins in a crucial middle of the meeting, Will Stone also won two races on his way to a tidy 6 point haul. Only young Shane Rigg failed to hit the heights with a blank return. Team Manager Paul Duff was quick to praise his team's efforts so far. "We had a rough start with two away fixtures but managed to win them both well, everyone is chipping in and playing a part. I feel for Shane as he's not having a lot of luck as yet, he's a bit firm but we have been working on his starts and technique and it'll come for him pretty soon I'm sure. He's under no pressure and I do think he's going to show us his talents, I have faith in him" "Southside have started pretty well and scored heavily at home last time out, but I think over two legs we have what it takes - well go without Ricky but we have a couple of good guests lined up, so let's get it on"
