Ray France had another decent round in round 8 of the JJ series. He scored 10 points to finish in fifth place and was himself a little disappointed not to finish higher. He has now been joined at the top of the standings by Davie Langfield and Maxie North but barring a complete disaster will easily qualify for the GP finals and be looking for an AL team spot next season. He is very focused on winning the JJ this season and will be working with our coach Mariusz Wiacek who says Ray is improving every week and will be a top UL rider in the future which augurs well for us here at Kings Lynn.

Ray France finished the JJ qualifying series with another double figure score but was pipped to the Midland title by Ipswich's Davie Langfield. He was a little disappointed to miss out on the title but has vowed to come back stronger in the GP finals and will be working very hard with our coach, Mariusz Wiacek, in the next couple of weeks to iron out a few issues and make a big bid to become the overall champion. He is also taking part in the British U18 semi-final and is looking forward to riding against AL riders which is where he will be next season.

An excellent first GP performance by Ray France sees him top the overall standings despite not winning the meeting. He went through the meeting unbeaten until missing the gate in the final and eventually finishing third. The 19 points he accumulated has left him 4 points ahead of the rest with 2 rounds to go. He will have another session with our coach Mariusz Wiacek before the second round and if he keeps his current form going then there is no reason why he can't keep himself ahead of the field.

Ray dropped off the pace a little in the final 2 rounds of the JJ finals eventually finishing 5th overall. It has been a fantastic first season of competitive speedway for him and he can now look forward to an AL spot next season as he looks to progress his career. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next season and I will be keeping a very close eye on him as I think he can go all the way in the sport and become a Lightning rider of the future.
