Out of the cup in the 1st round, which is not unusual for us, by losing by 1 whole point to Whitby. They were very helpful to us in the 29th heat of the match when gifting us a 5-0. Alas it didn't prove to be enough for us as Petr Verner split Jamie Vaughan and Jean-Marc Struthers in the final heat. Still we wish them good luck in the semi-finals and we will take our place in the 3TT later in the season. Vaughan, Struthers and Tibor Nemecek all rode well over the two legs whilst the others struggled a little. If one or two of them can start to perform better we will be ok this season. Back to league action this week with a home fixture again against Whitby. A repeat of the home cup leg will suit us fine.
A quick update on our JJ rider Nick Turner who had a superb second round finishing in second place. This is by far his best performance and his confidence has soared to new levels. I hope he can now push on and become more consistent over the next few rounds. He will be working hard with our coach Marek before round 5 and he will go along to lend his support in the pits.

It looks as though we will again not quite make top spot this season unless we can go on a run of victories starting away at Lanarkshire.
All the riders are maintaining their averages which is keeping us close in most matches without really putting anyone to the sword. The guys have all done a good job this season without being spectacular......although there is still time.
None of the riders made it very far in the GP qualifying meetings. There is a case for David Bedford to receive a wild card after being forced to withdraw from the British Final after just one completed ride. He is hopeful but hasn't received a call as yet.
Plans are already in place to improve the stadium for next season. These will hopefully be carried out before we get underway next time around. More details on the improvements to follow.
