A decent last few fixtures saw the Bullets consolidate their position at the top of the table. a good home win over Reading and the all important bonus point secured was followed up by a narrow 43-47 loss at Durham
Will Stone continued his sensational form at the Cathedral - scoring paid 15 from his 6 rides. Stone has been a man transformed this season and has leapt up to 7.85 and second in the Bullets' averages to the delight of his manager
"Will had a tough season last time out and dropped to reserve, however we kept the faith and have been rewarded in multitudes this term - He has been nothing short of sensational Home and Away and I'm delighted for him. We have the youngest team in the league by a big margin, but we have talent in abundance. I don't want to change a thing ad these boys deserve their run in, win or lose. We have had a season to remember so far - ok it's now on in that counts but I trust these seven and we started together and we will finish together - whether we finish 1st or 8th"
Bottesford are next in action at home to the well placed Burslam Braves and will take nothing for granted "Burslam gave us a good hiding at their race track and are in good form - It won't be a easy night i'm sure - however I urge the locals to get their backside's trackside as this will be a good tussle, we are currently top of the pops - but we need the crowd o get behind these young lads to roar them home. Never has a team needed to win at home, and won big to secure the bonus point" !
