In a bold move the Falcons have made two changes to their side for the season run it. Manager SteveG was forced into making these due to the injury to Theo Craven, which means the fan favourite will now miss the end of the season.
Manager SteveG had this to say at a press conference earlier today,
"We've probably been the in form side in the league for the past few weeks so its unfortunate that we've had to make changes now. I think we had been well on course for promotion. That being said, I'm absolutely delighted that with the new riders that we have brought in and feel this will make us even stronger as a side, even if there is a bit of risk involved. Theo is upset about finishing the season this way, but we can't do much about injury's and he'll almost certainly be with us again next season being a fan favourite and a rider who loves the club.
We've brought in a hugely experienced rider in Andy Lawson on the recommendation of his brother who rode for us last year. Andy comes in on under a 7pt average and we are almost certain he'll be able to, at the very least attain that for the last few matches.
Another rider who comes in with a point to prove is Charles Goody. If he performs well will put himself very much in the shop window for next season. It's unfortunate Lauire didn't perform as well as either we or him would of hoped but we wish him all the best for the future and are sure we will see him improve next year.
We have a massive next few meetings with a KO cup final and promotion push in line and we are looking for a bumper crowd in our last few fixtures. Hopefully the fans support can push us on to glory in both the league and the cup as a double is well within our grasp looking at our current 1-7"
