Chargers Out Of Promotion Places
It's never been on Charlemont Charers agenda this season to be promoted, but with the table looking healthy the club have finally expressed their intrest in moving up the Sim Leagues.
The situation now however is the club am have slipped to 5th in the table and horrible fixture list sees the final matches of the season are both away from home. The first fixture was this Saturday against the London Jets who The Chargers beat well in the return fixture. The target was to sucseed in getting the bonus point but going for the win was important in the quest for promotion.
The night started started poorly with the reserves in heat 2 getting a 1-5 after they did hit the front into turn one but a unfamiliar track ment the home reserves made light work of any team riding. The rest of the night was tightly contested but the Chargers failed all night to get a heat advantage and a dominate performance in heat 13 from the home side saw the second 5-1 after Moursin was excluded for riding over the white line in desperation to keep the score close.

'It's a shame we couldn't get a foothold in this match, we didn't perform badly we just came up against a team who win at home. Our reserves have done well this season but they are always going to struggle coming away from home to tracks they have never seen before. It was a difficult night for them and to be honest it could have been completely different if Marjan wasn't so unlucky in his first ride when his chain broke when out in front.'
'Onto the next one and it's a biggy, Hulls Angels away and it's a winner takes all kind of match. We will be looking to come away with some points and I'd love us to draw cause we would get the bonus point and pip them to the post.'
'We would like to be promoted but it's not the beginning and all of this season. We have done well but we need to push on at home and make the gaps bigger to win those bonus points that see you at the top of the table and if your doing that then you can try and get those elusive away wins.'
