Its cup final week this week as the Kings take on the Cats of MIlton Keynes, A healthy following is expected for the away leg as this is the shortest away trip we have alll season.
Despite a bulging trophy cabinet , which does include the UL 3TT the Kings will be looking for the 1st major UL trophy. "The Cats are the favourites but if we ride well then we definitely have a chance. We've been a much improved side in the second half of the season so if everyone rides to their ability we might just be able to bring the trophy home."
This is certainly the pinnacle of the Kings season, but victory in the cup would be academic if they were to lose their place in the UL league next weekend. While it would need 4 specific results to occur, including away wins for Teesside & Canvey Island as well as a points swing it is not something the Kings will take for granted. "We'll worry about that next week. We dont want a nervy night, but we'll be going all out for cup glory first"
In other news Lennart Levin continued his resurgance with a fantastic 14 points in his home grand prix, riding as a wild card. After a disappointing first half of the season Levin exited the race for GP qualification early, so it was a fantastic result for the young Swede.
