The final meeting is upon us in what has been a season of hard lessons. Relegation back to the Evolution League is already confirmed but that doesn't mean the Spitfires will go quietly.
Mike Pearce explains. "We've accepted our fate, it is what it is and we need to learn from the season we've had. We're a relatively new club so mistakes were bound to be made along our journey towards our ultimate aim in getting to the top. We have some good young and improving talent on our books and they could be the key to the future for us; we need to work hard with them to help them improve, for our and their sake. We'll continue to look forwards as a club, keep making improvements to the stadium and listening to what the fans are saying. The supporters have been great to us, even through such a tough season. We owe it to them to get better and also to make sure we give it everything against Hampden when they come to visit us on the final day. I've told the team I expect full commitment for that meeting, no going through the motions will be acceptable. They should all have enough pride to want to win and quite frankly some will be riding for their future."
