do do dooo doooooo, do do do do doooooo oh, sorry, yeah, it's the moment of truth, 15 heats standing between us and a UL League title, but let's be honest, it's 45 heats standing between us and that trophy. We might well top the league but if I were a betting man i'd put my cash on Kings Lynn. We're 1 ahead, but 1 is nothing, and 1 point is far from an advantage or guarantee in this particular situation.
Kings Lynn are at home, in most cases that's a straight up 2 points in the bag right there, Canvey may well have gone and picked up a draw away at Tunstall last week but Kings Lynn are undefeated at home and they are a strong team.
The Cats face a trip to Whitby. On aggregate we have an 8 point lead, we need to hold on to that, we need that bonus at an absolute minimum, but I think we're going to need to get more from this fixture. Kings Lynn managed a draw there and I think we need to at least match this to stand a chance. Their track is a little smaller than the Grovedale, but it's grippy and well prepared not unlike home shale for us. The team have had a get together and some time as a unit both on track and socially in the last few days, they have a steely determination and fight in their eyes, their equipment is ready to roll, and they are ready to fight for this title.
Also in the mix though are Lanarkshire, currently sitting second. Much like ourselves they have to hit the road and make their way to our old friendly foes at Wednesfield, who are going to want to end the season in style, and more than that, they need to or their Ultimate League status could be at risk, with them sitting just a point ahead of Canvey Island and Teesside.
It's going to be a tense few days..
