It was a bitter sweet evening for the Falcons as they went down by two points in a last heat decider to the London Jets. This meant the league title went to Sheffield when a win for the Falcons would of brought the trophy back to Cornwall, but the fans were ecstatic that the team finished in 2nd place and secured promotion to the 2nd division in the British league.
"It was a great effort from the boys today we gave it our all but unfortunately just come up short, congratulations to Sheffield who I think along with us have been the standout team this season. We managed to get one over of them in the cup but they just about managed to trump us in the league, we look forward to riding against them next year and hopefully continuing our good run against them!
All in all we've had a fantastic season, if someone had said we'd win the KO cup and finish runners up at the start of the season I'd have bitten their hand off. After a slow star the team performed brilliantly and almost completed the double, we are already making plans for next season where hopefully we can make it back to back promotions!"
Olle Nyman- Captain fantastic at number one, had a slow start to the season but didn't look back past week 6. We feel there is a lot to come from him and are very keen to have him back at the club next season!
Kris Major- The fans rider of the season he managed to move up from the reserve berth and increased his average well over a point. Another rider who we are hopefully will stay with us next year for a 4th consecutive season.
Andy Lawson- Rode the last few meetings for us and his experience was very useful. Had a fantastic 14 point haul in one meeting that was vital to keeping us on track.
Richie Rawlings- Not the greatest season by his own admission but he will be on a low average and out to prove people wrong next season. A rider with vast potential which he can hopefully fulfil.
Leigh Billington- A rider who came into our team after our poor start to the season and really turned our fortunes around. Solid and reliable he has proved himself as a very consistent performer this season.
Carlos Goody- Joined late in the season and did significantly then Campbell, has put himself in the shop window for next season.
Jules Roux- A bad start to the season but the difference at reserve. He was the game changer towards then end of the season!
Theo Craven- Had a great season before he was unfortunately injured at the end of the year. One we will be looking to keep for next year.
Laurie Campbell- Was a little out of his depth this year but will for a AL team next season. Got some great experience this year and will do a job at reserve for a team next season.
