Following the dreaded relegation from the top flight. JC has made major changes within the gems camp and its junior side the Dragons who came last in the AL (more about them on their own site).
The NSSPA board approved the moves JC wanted and Carl Hooper has been installed as the Gems rider and new Coach from this season. Everyone knows all about Carl successes in Sim Speedway, he is respected across all continents.
Carl has the pedigree to push the side to regain its place in the elite ranks and doesn't have to worry about training etc. Carl will pass on professional advice onto riders already skilled in most ways and at a level to take on board his comments. Allan Edwards who has worked with JC since he started in Sim speedway as coach to the Gems is staying with JC but moving up the Valley to Abertillery. Allan took the Gems with JC from the AL to the UL and he can do the same with Dragons, Allan is a skilled trainer and developer of riders and the Dragons need someone of he his standing to develop the team.
It was natural the big stars Scott Bridges and Denis Gomozov would move on, although shocking as it stands neither has secured a team place yet. Another big name who came back during the season was Otto Juttke, he has following long talks decided to be the Gems number 1 for this season, Great News and joining him in the top 2 is Darren Moore who has repaid our loyalty by staying. Both are currently riding in the WTC Event along with Scott and Denis.
