Manager Andy Dixon has made the most of his week off in the internationals, after leading ROW U21s straight to the World Cup final, and completed two signings to finish the Sheffield side for next season.
Speaking briefly from the international camp Andy told us, "I'm very happy with our work during the close season. Borek Olejnik and Gennady Batichev were both a joy to deal with and seem very keen to get going for us.
Borek's career stalled a bit last year but I think he can start moving forwards again with us and I think his presence will also help fellow Czech Janek Bartousek continue his progress with us too. Gennady is a rider who has been improving and I think we can continue that with us. Both lads are very comfy on big grippy tracks so our place should suit them.
We have no weak links in the team with all our riders above 5 points and I am confidence Trowbridge can score well home and away at the top. All our side are well suited to our track but capable of scoring on different surfaces too. We've put a lot of thought into the team with home grown experience and a mix of hungry and young riders alongside. I'm sure it will be another memorable season.
For now I'll be supporting our Rest of the World senior side in the Race Off tomorrow and then we'll name our U21 World Cup final 5 and get busy preparing to complete what has been an amazing international break. After that it'll be great to be back home in Sheffield, hopefully with a World Cup medal of some sort and with more to come for the Dons over the next several months."
