Burslem are delighted to announce that they have agreed terms on their 1-7 for the forthcoming season.
"We wanted to build a team who can challenge for the title this season, and the way for us to do that is to ensure that we have a team who is young and hungry to succeed. This year, the rules dictate that we all have to have 2 JJ riders, so once we had decided who we would be using, we built around it and went from there.
So, starting at number 1, a new signing in Jaz Tank. Jaz is experienced beyond his 24 years, and is someone who will be a top rider in the league this season.
At number 2, another new signing, in Brian Broadbank. Brian is joining on loan from Wantage for the season, and is a rider who I think can have a massive season for us.
At 3, returning from last season, Richie Sampson. Richie had a fantastic first season in the AL, and we will be looking on him to build on that. He has the potential to really challenge for the number 1 spot this season.
At 4, another returner, and another who had their debut last season, in D'Mitrij O'Shea. D'Mitrij joins on a full transfer from Tunstall, and he is another who can really challenge for number 1. He is a fantastic talent, and I am excited to have him and Richie in the middle order.
At 5, Kai Mungall returns from last season. He pushed on last season, and has the ability to continue to push on, and challenge Jaz for the number 1 spot.
At 6, our first JJ recruit, our very own Shaun Carter. Shaun started last season on fire, but tailed off a bit towards the end. We believe that he has the talent to shine at reserve this season, and we will make sure we give him all the support he needs.
At 7, our second JJ recruit, last seasons JJ champion Noah Nicholson. Noah joins on loan from Tunstall, and we are delighted to once again welcome the JJ champion to Burslem. Again, he will get all the help and support he wants and needs, and we believe he can be a top rider for us this season.
