SOUTHSIDE OGLALA
We have done our time in the AL bringing through a lot of young kids with JJ experience only and it's time
for us to do some winning and I mean plenty of winning so here is the the team that is going to kick start
our challenge for trophies this season.
With the loss of Steven McDonald due to too high a average for the Academy League our search for a number 1
was short and sweet and we signed 20 year old Craig Caffrey from Newmarket Raiders.
Craig actually increased his average while on loan at the "Bunker Brigade" or better known as Tweedside Tigers
which is a rarity indeed and we can see him top the AL with a healthy average.
Our next thoughts where for two JJ riders,Christian Roche our own asset who actually did well to reach the JJ Grand Prix finals
although a bit overwhelmed was signed first followed by a rider with real potential Durhams John Honey who finished
third overall who should provide us with some real fire power in our quest for cups.
Maxie North was retained after upping his average by just over a point but we will be keeping a eye on him
as he had some dissappointing meetings last season even at reserve and you can be assured if he ain't doing it
he will be gone.
Robbie Cormack was also retained, his first season in the AL was very promising and needs to carry on in the same vein
to justify the money we have forked out on his equipment, have a good feeling about this kid.
The return of Markus Schupp was a no brainer and he will spearhead our attack with Caffrey, the management want
to have a good look at themselves loaning him out at the start of last season especially to one of our rivals.
Lloyd Byford or Lord Byford as we call him comes in at number six and although he found it tough going in his
first AL season we think he will improve especially getting away from the smoke filled nostrils of John Coles Dragons
NEXT UP OUR OPPONENTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
