The new look Dragons are through to the next round of the KO Cup with back to back wins. A noisy 600 supporters cheered the Dragons on to a 50-40 win so the Dragons took a 10 point lead into the second leg.
Huw David stared scoring 14, supported by skipper Connor Whitelaw with 10. What was pleasing was the two JJ riders Alex & Tim scoring 8 & 6 and both getting heat wins Giles Hill started well with 8 points also.
The away leg saw a 4 point win for the Dragons, Coach Edwards was very pleased and his skill and experience working with riders willing to learn was evident as the Dragons never were behind in the meeting both reserves again did well Connor and Huw again lead from the front.

6 meetings in and the Dragons have won 5 and drawn 1, JC is at last smiling with his junior side, JC spoke to us about his coach Allan Edwards, Allan is a true coach in every word when working with rising stars and riders learning there craft. It's as the saying goes Horses for Courses.
It is a shame Luckhurst has been injured which hopefully will not break the momentum, to cover we have brought back our own rider Roberts as cover.
Our next meeting is against our old mates from UL sides Gems & Panthers, the Scottish Red Mist are on route!!!!!!!!!

The revival goes on for the Dragons in a great meeting away to Downham the Dragons snatched a 2 point victory and took the Stars 100% home league record. In a tense meeting which showed how great AL racing is.
Giles starred with everyone contributing to the win, which takes Aberillery top of the league a proud moment for all the clubs struggles and the supporters even if it only lasts one week.
Coach Alan Edwards continues to work his magic.

It had to end sometime we finally lost away to Westward 46-44 but Giles won the bonus point. This season has been a revaluation thanks to the lads and Coach Edwards.
Giles and Gary riding at 1 & 2 scored 11 each plus a bonus each a great pairing. Our Captain Connor had a very unusual night scoring only 4, which compared to the amount of times he has top scored we can forgive him.
Coach Edwards has said the real character of the side will now show itself following on from our first defeat.

Coach Edwards was a happy man following 3 consecutive away defeats, seems daft to say the dragons we're worried following previous seasons results. A return to winning ways away at Harlow and the bonus point.

What a season JC thanked everyone from riders to track staff to people taking money on the gates, he paid tribute to Coach Allan Edwards who has been at his side since they formed firstly the Gems and then the Dragons.
The Dragons and Reading Rebels have had a great couple of weeks fighting it out in the League and the KO Cup with honours shared Dragons pipping them to the League title and Reading winning the Cup.
Congratulations to tne Dragons and Reading.
