There was some excitement at the Tremough Mugga last night as Falcons manager Stephen Gardner announce the signings of two new riders in at his weekly press conference.
Coming into the team are Swedish prospect Hasse Blomqvist and Latvian international Janis Viyups with Jules Roux and Peter Doyle making way. Speaking last night the manager had this to say on the matter.
"We've had a very good start to the season winning an away meeting whilst keeping a 100% record at home, we know however that there was still room for improvement. Peter and Jules have been a little unlucky with the way things have worked but we've got them involved in the European leagues so they will still be riding regularly. Hasse has had a fantastic start to the season on the continent and is currently outscoring the GP series leader over there. If he rides anything like that here we will have one of the best top 2 in the league. He's a fantastic professional and he could become a big part of our future.
Janis was a little more of a risk, having only seen him ride a few times. We gave him a practice trial around our track and he flew round, at 18 he's someone I feel can only get better and felt it was worth the risk bringing in someone of his potential!
Hopefully we can kick on with a win this week and continue our battle for promotion!"
