The new season will see a revamp of the junior section of SIM. All teams will have 4 junior riders, 2 of which will represent them in the Juvenile Jaunt with a 4TT running throughout the season involving all 4 riders. This change has come about due to suggestions we have had from managers and, of course, the poll we had earlier in the season. These riders will be yours to help and support hopefully bringing some of them through to ride for your teams and, who knows, become internationals and GP riders. Using your own coaches via forum posts will help their racing averages and their will be the opportunity to send them for the usual NSSPA coaching sessions for greater average boosts. These will be a little different to previous seasons as you will have a pot of sessions to use however you choose and for whichever of your juniors you want to. You could also do absolutely nothing as some managers have over the seasons. It hasn't necessarily hindered their junior riders but I think those of you who have helped your riders have seen them move forward with their careers. These changes are to generate more interest in the junior section and now, in the junior 4TT (one for each league), there will be another piece of silverware for your club to try to win.
That is just a quick overview of the revamp. All the rules will be on the new website for next season (once I have written them!).
Now you have read and digested the above it is time to select your riders. There will be 4 draft lists to pick your riders from. We will do one per week over the next 4 weeks. This first list is for the listed teams only. This is because they will be teams whose this season's JJ rider has either progressed into the AL or will be too old (over 16) to be in the junior section. All teams will have a pick from the other 3 lists. Picks will be first come first served so if you could put your team name and which rider you have selected I will try and keep the lists updated and take riders out each time I log in. Please have a look first though to see what riders have been picked if I haven't been able to do this. Any team who hasn't selected a rider by the end of each week will have one allocated to them. So that's about it, off you go and pick your juniors. By the way I will pick my riders later in each week. I wouldn't want you thinking I was picking all the best youngsters for the Lightning!!
