Wednesfield Wanderers sponsored by Welding Services, had to be content with 2nd place in the UL and losing finalists in the KO Cup. Kings Lynn ended up league victors and Wednesfield manager was quick to praise the champions and his own side..."Kings Lynn have been knocking on the UL doors last couple of seasons. Rob had put together a good side and they deserved their place at the top table. We started the season ok at home but I felt we needed igniting. We got that with the signing of Jakub Fekete. To have someone of his quality riding at reserve was the biggest stroke of luck I have had in all my years at Wednesfield. It was no surprise to see him in the top 3 of the averages and when the averages changed for the last time, he had put 4 points on it, and ended up at number 1. He stayed steady at home but struggled away from the Kingo. Boris has been excellent this season and is one I definitely want to stay along with the Federenko brothers and Henk Knapke who has steadily improved last 2 seasons.... The skipper Phil Hayes has 1 more season in him and has looked dangerous at reserve. Overall, we have had a very good season, but a bit like my school reports, we could do better!" Morgan said he is looking forward to the WTC and continuing his leadership with Russia. He added,"I got 3 boys with me at Wednesfield and I would love to continue leading them and them to another WTC podium finish...."
