This week is a 'BIG WEEK' in the fledgling career of Estuary Whales young rider Jordan Trott, current;y sitting 7th in the Southern Section he is 19th overall level on points with Lloyd Byford but having an inferior average, so it looks like we are going to see sparks fly as the tinder box atmosphere of the West Coast Arena comes alive when the tapes go up.
To reach the GP places he has to outscore at least 3 riders to achieve a top 16 or beat off Byford to be a meeting reserve.
Whatever the outcome its been a marvelous achievement by this unassuming young man, with speedway in his blood a great uncle was a racer in bygone days, he has been a very special trainee, he listens intently, works tirelessly both on and off the track and is learning every minute he is on a bike, he has a cousin who films every moment of his track time, and then these times get broken down and our coaching staff and experienced local racers give him tips both practically and verbal, so moving forward there are good things on the horizon.
The Whales management thank the NSSPA and Mr Golsby for the big contributions being made to youth speedway in our stratosphere. wishing all riders the very best of luck in reaching the coveted GP Finals.
GO TROTTER GO !!!!!!!!!!!!

Our man has had a great season but the pressure of how well the boy did came to the fore as Jordan was feeling nervous and almost sick, but take nothing away from 'Trotter' he has had a great season and tells us he has enjoyed every minute, he was mentally exhausted after this meeting, Kev has spent time with him, telling him "the pressure is off now go out and ride and enjoy it", Kevin's belief is OK he is 5 points down on others around him for a GP reserve place at best, so if he relaxes he might make the challenge, but if it isn't achievable he has still had an exceptional first season in our sport and over the next couple of years will have plenty of time to gain a place on the AL transfer list or even a team place.
So nothing is lost but so much has been gained, we have not given up, so Jordan go out and enjoy and good luck in round 10, you already know you have a place here at the Whales, GO TROTTER GO !!!!!!

Trotter finishes his season in style.
Jordan finishes with three wins to end the season with 11/5 in joint 3rd place in Round 10, finishing the season in 20th place overall with 88 points in 50 rides and a CMA of 7.04.
Jordan completed the South season in 7th place. A good first season from our young man, he learned plenty and I am sure will go n learning in the remaining weeks of the season.

The JJ committee have been impressed by young Jordan Trott in his first JJ season. He was not one of the fancied riders but improved greatly as the season progressed. Next season will see him as one of the favourites and the encouragement and coaching he receives at Estuary should see him in the mix at most meetings.
