The Dragons are back.
John Coles promoter of the new UL Champions has applied for the Promoters Licence to re install the Abertillery Dragons once again to the AL. JC has agreed that if a new promoter comes in he will transfer ownership of the Dragons to them.
He said we need to get more young riders in Wales, West Midlands & South West interested in the sport and give them a go. As the Dragons have only been closed for just over a year the facilities are not to run down or been vandalised and many of the Gems staff & Supporters have offered to help to get THE PARK ready for action.

Pre Season is well under way and Connor is developing into a really good Captain and points scorer, Stojan is getting to grips with being number 1 and the track differences , Huw has settled in well riding at number 5. Marcus and Gwynne our middle order pair are still sorting out timings and gating but with Coach Carl Porter working with them individually hopes are high they will be ready for the league campaign.
Both reserves Brynmor & Dave have scored well so far and the feeling is both will challenge for top 5 berths on the first average change.

Promoter/Manager JC has kept faith with his current side following the latest GSA announced this week. Captain Connor Whitelaw has again increased his average to over 9 from season start of 6.82 and Brynmor Johns has also upped his.
Whitelaw is is now the Dragons number 1 well done.
JC has said he brought the Dragons back to life with NSSPA support to help young riders including Welsh youngsters and although they sit bottom of the table, that will improve as so do the riders.

Dragons Captain Connor Whitelaw did the club proud and raised his own profile in the AL by finishing runner up in the AL Riders Championship.
He followed that up by leading the team to an away win in the league.
Great week for Connor.
