The Spitfires have made the decision to bring in young Pole Jakub Baran from the Tilbury Dockers who will take the no.1 race jacket. Also coming into the side is Belgian rider Wout Ledereq who joins on loan from the Teeside Transporters.
Making way and now available for transfer are Milan Stajner and Damien Shields.
Moving into a heat leader position is young Michael Plant, who has continued his impressive rise in status and will be looking to push for the no.1 spot.
The decision to drop Milan and Damien wasn't easy, particularly as Damien has been with the Spitfires since the club started. We just feel that at an important stage of the season, Jakub could be the out and out no.1 needed to push us towards promotion rather than the relegation we suffered the last time we were in the Power League.
Wout will add quality to the reserve position vacated by Plant moving up and help to balance the side.
Brett Harkins takes on the Captains role from the departing Stajner, a job he has carried out to good effect in the past.
