09/09/2017 at THE CATHEDRAL - ATTENDANCE 854
SIM SPEEDWAY 2017 - EVOLUTION LEAGUE -
As Fred Taylor entered the Cathedral, the fans were singing loudly and proudly the name of boss man Craig Richardson, speaking to a group later they explained Craig is a son of Durham and we support our own and are behind him all the way.
All that was left was for Taylor's new look team to hit the ground running, as said in the programme notes at Wantage Fred is here to oversee things and he will.
Again premeeting the team talk rested on the shoulders of ex Taylor protege at Grays Flyers Neil Johnston named as team captain, once again his words hit home, even to the new German, Fabien listened intently and his spanners who speaks both languages helped, so he fully understood what was said.
Whatever Neil said inspired both Fabien and Warren to match each others scoring feats, as Neil topped the charts, again a solid team performance and good victory over the Chargers who have three very big hitters at this level, heat 13 was the only defeat suffered by Jukka Gustafsson as Leonard and Mousin scored heavily.
Brilliant win for the boys who are on the road next week at Whitby.
