Cats boss wasn't impressed with the performance of his team during this week's fixture against 4TT winners Teesside "Yeah, we got the win, but we really got away with that one this week. we shouldn't be putting ourselves in the position we did, we were second best for half of the meeting, Teesside were great value, and showed why they quite rightly dominated and took home the 4TT crown."
"Our performance in the second half of the meeting was much better, and we got the win in the end, but if we're going to stand a chance to win a second Ultimate League title we need to be better. For the first time this season I had to break out the tactical substitutes, and that's testament to the job Teesside did, they put us on our back foot. I love that we showed fight and we pulled it out of the fire, but I don't ever want to be in that position again, and the riders are well aware."
"I don't often say much about the opposition, but in the past I have been a little too vocal about Teesside, and i'm going to do the same again today. Teesside dominated the 4TT, they blew us, and everyone else away, they have real power throughout their team, and they may well have gone away with nothing from The Grovedale this week, but I think they're going to be a tremendous danger throughout the second half of the season, and I think they're going to be deservedly in the mix for the title challenge."
