Teesside Transporters have made a couple of dramatic moves late in the season to try and spur a late run at the UL title.
With the new averages out, Teesside have announced that they have complete deals to bring in Russian ace Denis Gomozov, on-loan from Aberavon, and Swede Peter Tranberg from Stockholm - with Luke Treadwell and Eugene Burkes making way.
With both the new signings slotting into the top-five - that means captain Hans E Bergestol drops down to reserve, following a poor start to the season, but now he is back to form and Bailey feels getting him at reserve could help.
"It is something we had to try, to get a heat-leader and world class performer like Hans at reserve was something we could not do. Hans struggled at the start but has been looking like his old self in recent weeks, which prompted us to make the move.
"We have spoke to Luke and Eugene, and with just six matches left this could see why we were doing something like this.
"We have brought in Denis, a rider we love here at Teesside and one we have tried to sign on more than one occasion. He is a former Ironopolis winner and he is clearly still on form given his impressive form in Europe too.
"There is a slim chance we can push Milton Keynes, so we thought whilst we had that chance we would do something about it - we have already warned Hans that he could be a very busy man in the remaining matches, but his reaction was to rub his hands together and that is what we want.
"And we also have to say a huge thanks to our friends at Aberavon - they didn't have to let Denis come to us, but they have knowing we can challenge."
