Hull Manager Mark Evans has just pulled off a coup by resigning former Captain Landels to help in the push for promotion.
Evans said 'Derek is not only a great rider to have coming at reserve but he is also a leader in the pits. He has been a mentor for the young Tommy Davey and helped him develop into a heat leader by looking after his engines and bike set ups in the past 2 seasons'.
Landels is also over the moon at the move back to Hull. He said 'I never wanted to leave but unfortunately the Gaffer couldn't fit me in the team at the beginning of the season as the averages did not fit so I had to move on but sadly it didn't work out. I am like a father to Tommy and cant wait to riding again with him for the Angels'.
