Chargers Get Financial Backing
PowerCharge Electricians are Charlemont Chargers first official club sponsor and have signed a three year naming right deal. The club will be known officially as Charlemont 'PowerCharge' Chargers for the forth coming years a name that seems to suit both parties.
Club Manager Steven Hunt seemed delighted to have sorted the agreement out quickly and is looking forward to a healthy relationship with PowerCharge Electricians. 'I am delighted to have PowerCharge involved, they are a local company based in West Bromwich but have stations all over the Midlands area. The Manager Chris Gillespi is a avid speedway fan and has always attended the big Sim Speedway meetings over the years. He has good knowledge and has been putting his thoughts across in regards to how he wants our partnership to go. He has stated to me that if the club get promoted in the first three seasons that another deal will be guaranteed. We hope to live up to that expectation, we know the first couple of years might be difficult and steady but a push up the leagues is never out of the question.
Chris Gillespi also had his input in the press conference staged today at the new All Saints Stadium. 'Its a perfect fit, the Chargers name just seems to luck more than judgment and it has a nice ring to it. It is great to have so many sports teams being set up at the magnificent facility and to give something back to the community I have decided to sponsor the Speedway Team and help get this venture off the ground.'
'I have always loved speedway and now the town has a team I am right behind them and will be handing out flyer's on jobs and plastering our work vans with information about the club. I am excited and cannot wait get started and watch from our executive box which I'm hoping to fund improvement for.'
