In a hectic first day of the transfer window, Burslem have completed their entire team in one fell swoop!
"I'm delighted that it came together how it did" said team manager Mike Auffret.
"I set out to target certain riders, and offered them what I believe is a fair value, and they all decided that Burslem was where they wanted to further their career. So, without further ado, let me introduce the 7 riders who will represent Burslem.
At number 1 will be the first Khazakhstan rider I can think of, in Nurasyl Ibrayev. He joins on an 8, and while I'm not sure he will hit that, he is a guy who can go on and do well for years to come.
At number 2 will be Scott Calder. Joining on a full transfer, Scott didn't have the best of seasons last year, but I know he is determined to put that right and go on to be a real trump card for us.
At number 3, Mike Van Arsden. A rider who has ridden for Burslem before, Mike is a rider with real potential who should be able to push on for the number 1 spot. Stagnated a bit last year, but back in familiar settings I expect him to thrive.
At 4 will be another former Brave in Craig Gooderham. Had a fantastic few meetings last season before being dumped by Falmouth, and he is a rider who can really push on and make big strides in the league.
At 5 is the third former Brave, and one that I am delighted to have. Bradley Foster is an absolute star in the making, and I honestly believe he has the ability to push on for a 9 point average and be one of the top riders in the league. The fact that we get him on an average of 7 is an absolute bargain.
At reserve, first we have Maxie North joining on loan. After a good Juvenile Jaunt, he takes the step up and will look to push on in his first season. He has potential, and we will look to harness that.
Joining Maxie at reserve will be Steve Bechet. A rider who has all the potential in the world, and at just 17 is a rider who can push on to challenge for a place in the top 5.
So, there are your 2015/16 Braves! We will have interviews with them over the coming weeks, but at least it is sorted on day 1!"
