Wednesfield Wanderers, who will once again be sponsored by Welding Services, have signed their first 3 riders of the new season.
Returning is Captain Phil Hayes, who will remain Wanderers Captain for the new season. Morgan added, "Phil coming back is a no brainer for me. The guy has so much experience, and towards the back end of last season started posting some real tidy scores, and he will fit in any where in the middle order of the team. We also benefit with him having 0.8 took off his average, so that helps massively. Also back is Janne Sarjale, who will have gained loads of experience from his first season last season. The 18 year old put 1.5 points on his average, and again we see the benefit of 0.8 points taken off his average, so plenty of scope for him to improve. Also in is a new signing in Kristian Stemme. I have had my eye on the Dane for a couple of years, as he has been a proven 7.5 to 8.5 scorer in the PL. With an average under 4.5 I just could not see anyone else giving a 4 point benefit in the List. He is sill only 26 so has plenty of experience to share, and although his UL experience will have hurt his confidence, I believe we will see him come down the league and be a better rider than he was before....."
When quizzed about the pending transfer Morgan added, " We had Dylan Goess on loan last year, and he scored 5 a meeting which is spot on for a reserve. As it stands, he will be at number 6, with Stemme at 7, providing he accepts the offer on the table.."
There is another planned conference on Wednesday, when Morgan hopes to announce more new signings.
