British starlet Lewie Carr will make his Teesside debut this season after being named at reserve for the new season.
Carr joined from Bottesford two-years ago, in a controversial deal, but he then finished that campaign with The Bullets before being loaned to Tunstall last season, but he is now set for his UL debut.
Teesside have not made any new signing for this season, with club assets being used - something the club have long believed is the right way to do it.
American Jack Hagen - who will make his Grand Prix debut this season - will again lead the side, and he will be backed up by stalwart and captain Hans E Bergestol along with returning German international Hans Benkarth and Aussie ace Archie Saunders - whose move to Teesside was made permanent.
Homegrown Giles Hill - who made his Under-21 international debut during the off-season - will feature as a second-string with Carr and Eugene Burkes at reserve - with the young American making his return to the club.
"We are delighted with how we have lined up, we have a great squad - but that does mean that Bjorn Haagenson - who we have allowed to join Rye, Henrik Hansen and Lucio Villanova are not included from the start, however, both Henrik and Lucio are on stand-by as having those two ready to come in does keep up the pressure.
"But are VII is an exciting one - we are confident Jack can step up and really establish himself as a UL number one, he is GP rider now and has all the talent in the world.
"The same goes with Archie and Hans, they are both averaging around 7 at their ages, they are top quality and we have Hans as captain overseeing what is a very young side - hs presence is vital.
"Giles will start at number 2, but we expect Lewie and Eugene to push for that spot, but you need to have those battles throughout the side. Lewie is really excited for his first top-flight campaign, and he has told me to keep a heat-leading spot ready for him - but we will see, we feel we have the best reserve in the league in Lewie - but he will need to show it, but this is a young lad who was averaging 8 in the Power League last season, he is a wonderful talent."
Bailey also confirmed that Teesside did try for one big bid in the off-season: "We can confirm we made a world record bid for a rider, and it came close to agreement but it was not to be - we won't name him but we felt our fans should know, as ever we keep an eye on the best talent in the world - and if there is a chance we will make a move, but we are very happy with our assets and think they are as good as anything in the league."
