As we move away from the Owlerton Owls and begin life as the Sheffield Dons we are releasing our world class stars to life in the big leagues.
Manager Andy Dixon said of developments, "We sold Maciej Tercjak on to the NSSPA to facilitate a good move for the youngster and we expect to see the rising star fixed up very soon. Hans E Bergestol is our other big asset and talks are underway for a move for him. Hans is the top rider on the close season transfer list so it's no shock there has been early interest in him. The details haven't been easy to smooth out but we believe we're nearly there and, in what should be a great deal for both clubs, we expect to see our first signings coming in through the door as part of this. As usual we won't announce anything until it's definite though.
Olle Runeberg did a good job for us last season and he has already moved on to Tunstall for a good fee. I'm sure he'll do a great job there and progress on to become a genuine world class rider as we expect him to.
The other name on the move will be Stephen Trowbridge. Team manager James Dixon did discuss keeping Stephen for our EL campaign and he'd have been an awesome number 1 but after the success he's just had in the UL it would have been a step down for a rider on the rise. I thought a UL club may have come in for him but the first contact came from the PL. With the new setup I don't think this should be seen as a step down though and I reckon he'll progress further this season as a top rider in that division. I've always held the belief Stephen has the makings of a top rider and if this deal goes through he's moving to a great club who can only help him achieve his ambitions.
We'll confirm news as we get it but would like to wish all the outgoing riders the best for the future - they've all been brilliant for Owlerton and I'm sure will be for their new sides too."
