Steve Morgan, manager of Wednesfield Wanderers continued to add to his ranks bringing in Kings Lynn duo Jamie Vaughan and Jon Nysted.
Vaughan was a heat leader most of the season in the UL, and comes into the Wanderers team to bolster the main body of the team with a 8.79 average. At 25, Jamie has a wealth of experience in the UL and has improved his aveage year on year with spells at Brighton and asset club Kings Lynn.
Nysted is no stranger to the Kingo Arena after having a spell here in 2014 where he improved from a 5 point average to nearly a 7. At 20, Jon is still maturing within the speedway world.
Morgan added, "Getting Jon back for a 2nd spell was important to my team plans. I wanted him last year again, but Rob (Kings Lynn Manager) wanted to give him the exposure of a reserve berth in the UL. Jon found the going tough and Rob and I agreed a year with Wednesfield in the PL will bring his confidence back. With his average being dropped to just 4.63 points, I felt that this gave us loads of flexibility with the team set up. He will start at reserve but will no doubt be getting plenty of racing before pushing for a place in the main body of the team.......Jamie has loads of UL experience. He has steadily grown from a reserve to a main body member and at times a heat leader. I'm hoping the drop down will get him some confidence winning speedway races, something he hasn't done consistently due to the quality of riders he has been competing against. I can see no reason why Jamie cannot push to be the number 1 in the team, which has to be the goal he sets himself......"
Asked about the number 1 spot, Morgan added, "We had some Visa issues with Dylan Goess, which should be sorted out in the next 24 hours, which leave just the number 1 spot left to fill. Im hoping to be able to announce that also within the next 48 hours, which I'm sure will bring some excitement to the Kingo terraces....!!!!"
