Week 8
Attendances
EL - 11106 Bumped into each other at Bankside as the Yorkshire hosts Sheffled Dons lost to Birmingham Bournevillains 43-47 opening the title race door wide. The Brummies avoided the zeros well, only accounting for 6 as they scored solidly and Billy Harriosn's move to No.1 didn't slow his scoring as he was 10+1 (5)
PL - 1243 launched themselves into the Leyton Stadium to see the Rockets beat Blunsden Bombers 51-39 - Ricky Keyse and Darren Moore scored just under half of Leyton's points but Ove Hydlin proved a real trump card for the Londoners at reserve scoring a fine 12+1 (5)
UL - 2308 rammed into the Raiders Dome to witness Newmarket's 48-42 win over the visiting Kings Lynn Lightning - The home side were 10 pts clear at one stage but the visitors pegged them back a little in the latter races. Kings Lynn new boy Kiril Bulatnikov had a debut to forget as he failed to score from his three outings.
Away Wins
Just the one this week as newbies Birmingham grabbed the spoils at high flying Sheffield. The Bournevillains de-railed the Dons title charge and gave the chasers a boost in a solid looking away showing Billy Harrison 10+1 (5) and Glyn Cox, recovering from an uninspiring last place in Heat 2, at No.7 to register 9+3 (5) - Final Score Sheffield Dons 43 Birmingham Bournevillains 47

Jack Hagen (Bottesford Bullets) 15 (5) - Hagen returned to form with an excellent maximum as Bottesford put the visiting Castaways to the sword in a 52-38 victory
Carsten Ostenstad (Aberavon Gems) - 17+1 (6) The Power League leader's recent No.1 continued hid sensational form to grab a big paid 18 points in a closely fought 48-42 win over Teesside Transporters. The North Eastern visitors led by 8 points mid way but the Gems bounced back to win the meeting in the latter stages
