Bottesford Bullets have completed their septet at breakneck speed overnight.
Introducing your 1-7 is Team manager rookie Paul Duff
At No.1 - The exciting Khazakhstan racer - Zoltan Slepukhin - Ave 8.00
Zoltan is still a youngster at 19 but has already shown his ability in Europe, the fast gating starlet was coveted by many, but decide to settle in at the grippy Bullet Arena in North Lincolnshire. He is staying locally with a speedway mad couple and has already become the son they never had. He's a good looking boy, which will please the ladies and local college girls, whilst his flamboyant style will play to the crowd I'm sure.
At No.2 - Local Boy - Will Stone - Ave 5.27
Young Will is a real battler, fans will love his all action style. I'm sure his inclusion in the main body of the team won't phase him at all. He will score solidly and at 17 I'd like to see him push on the England youth scene and develop into a bona fide Heat Leader. The way we have set up the team though, would alllow Will the opportunity to spend a time at reserve if he takes a few week's to get his equipment together and a reserve hit the ground running. Though knowing Will he'll be looking to take an opposition No.1 scalp or two in Heat 1.
At No.3 - TEAM CAPTAIN - Mike Cartwright - Ave 6.70
Still only 25 and the rider I was hoping would sign to give real stability in the middle of the team. Mark is a solid performer and has huge potential, he has been around a few years now and I believe his experience and the prospect of a new challenge, will really kick on his career. He can help the youngsters with set ups and information on away tracks - he was a natural choice to lead the side, and his character will drive us on, whilst his charisma will be a boost off the track with the media.
At No.4 - The Flying Scotsman ! - Hamish Hamilton - Ave 5.92
Welcome aboard another new boy in Hamish. A fiery flame haired Scot with talent to burn. Hamish came into the sport and looked a real find, however he has had his fair share of early disappointments at a young age. I really believe that, at 20, Hamish sees this as a huge opportunity to get his career going again after a quiet couple of seasons, a change of scenery from Iwade and the backing of his new manager should pay dividends, at practice last week his equipment was top notch and he had a huge smile on his face. Hopefully his inclusion will see many fans following suit as the points rack up
At No.5 - Mr Dependable - Martin Greer - Ave 7.78
At 23, Martin really does have the World at his feet, a talented youngster, he has blossomed into a Heat leader of real quality and is hugely popular with the supporters. He comes from a family of grass-trackers and shows real skill on a speedway bike. A born racer who never knows when he is beaten. Could, and should, be challenging for the No.1 race jacket this season !
At No.6 - Young British Heir - Luke Patryk - Ave 4.50
I was delighted to negotiate a deal for another local lad with massive potential. Luke comes into the team on a loan deal from local EL league neighbours Sheffield Dons. A deal was brokered early yesterday and I was keen to ensure Luke was on board quickly. He comes into the team at reserve with absolutely no pressure on him, however his maturity at the tender age of 17 has already hugely impressed the locals and his peers. He really can go onto great things here at Bottesford, there's no reason at all he cant push into our 1-5 and perhaps he may become a Heat Leader before he's finished.
At No.7 - Lewis "Carnival" Carr - Ave 4.32
Last but no means least is club asset Lewie. He is the most fearless 15 year old around for sure, never a dull moment. A real bundle of energy whose family have invested heavily in his equipment. Lewie is a product of the UK junior scene and has progressed from local amateur racing, he really has energy to burn. He has earned his pace in the team and comes in with no real pressure - he just loves to race a bike and learns well !
That ladies & gentlemen is this years BOTTESFORD BULLETS !
