Week 6
EL – 1151 descended into the Dragons Lair to witness the all conquering hosting Denham team narrowly beat East London Renegades 46-44. The Dragons have won all their fixture so far but the Renegades can count themselves mighty unlucky as they lost BOTH reserves to injury in a nasty Heat 2 crash, the remaining 5 fit riders almost pulled off the result of the season with in form No.1, Juraj Popluhar once again proving inspirational
PL – 1539 featured in the crowd at The Factory., where the home side, Birmingham Bournevillains put the travelling Tilbury Dockers to the sword. The Dockers lost Erik Bjork early on and never really recovered as the Midlanders romped home 52-38. Birmingham provided 11 of the 15 heat winners and took advantage of Bjork's loss.
UL – 2365 - Meandered up to Meadows Raceway s Wolston's slow start to the season stuttered at home again. With star man Carter Fortin missing, the visiting Necrons sensed an opportunity and duly took it - Eddie Mendoza was unbeaten by a home rider but it was a solid team effort that proved the Warriors undoing. The bulk of he home points came from Jean-Marc Struthers and Gabrys Irzyk.
AWAYS
Foxhall Vikings 43 Lanarkshire Lions 47 - The Lions started well and took an early 9-15 lead which they held onto for a marked away victory. The top three were particularly impressive as the visitors win keeps them flying at the top of the table.
Hampden Egles 44 Newmarket Raiders 45 - Despite the sickening loss of reserve Alex Green, in his opening ride, as he took a heavy fall and was taken to the County Hospital with a suspected broken thigh, the Raiders regrouped to claim a handy win on the road with a solid effort from the remaining six fit racers,
Wolston Warriors 43 Necrons 47 - Necrons were spurred on by an impressive Eddie Mendoza maximum to a cracking first top flight away win as the new boys climbed to second in the table.
