Our press and practice day went really smoothly on Saturday afternoon with the riders looking particularly sharp and although we are a young club within the Nsspa we are very progressive which we showed off to the press with the building of a state of the art Bar complex and our brand new food outlets you will not get better anywhere else in the league.
After this management the riders and fans made there way to our sponsors shop rocky Shaws where the party went well into the early hours and a good time was had by all it was good to let our hair down before the serious business of league racing takes place later this week i expect 100% from our riders nothing less and with the team we have hopefully they can deliver the goods but for that we will have to wait and see anyway let me introduce you to our team.
No.1 Fredrik Andersen Denmark 9.51 Age 33 a vastly experienced rider who i think will be a big force in this league as he has dropped down from the Ultimate league to join us a great coup for the club.
No.2 Des Dixon England 4.63 Age 20 Des is a big part of this club and thankfully winning promotion we were able to keep him at the club as he was scoring points freely last season he is looking forward to this season where hopefully he will continue to improve easy to deal with and a big hit with the fans.
No.3 Markuu Koskela Finland 6.98 Age 29 Our very own flying fin signed from our neighbors at Tilbury a rider who i am sure will increase his average to heat leader this year immaculate equipment and a good temperament can only bode well for our club.
No.4 Erik Giarnaset Sweden 6.65 Age 27 A good solid middle order man last season in the Ultimate league another rider who has dropped down to us we are looking to him to increase his average to heat leader looked good in practice and is looking forward to the coming season.
No.5 Rafal Narozny
Poland 9.32 Age 22 Rafal is a big name on the continent helping the Oslo Owls to third place in last seasons Euro League 1 a vast talent he come to us as he is looking to improve his riding skills with the aim of someday soon riding in the Grand Prix series but he knows to achieve this he must race in the Nsspa where the leagues are a lot tougher fast and good looking he is sure to be a big hit with the ladies.
No.6 Rhodri Szczygiel Wales 3.97 Age 18 Rhodri has been with me since i started firstly at Hunstanton then here at Canvey another rider who has increased his average every year he has been with me and a rider we have put a lot of faith in and he has never let us down this will be his biggest challenge in his career so far but i think he will rise to the occasion.
No.7 Dale Hawkins England 3.63 Age 19 He was a bit unsure about making the step up to this league but after i talked to him he has decided that he will another young rider of ours with loads of talent he is exciting to watch and will not give up till the race has finished.
So that's our team for the coming season this is a big year for the club after winning promotion last season a season where i am nervous and excited i would like to thank Liam Elder for the quick and easy signing of Markuu Koskela also.
The Canvey Island Castaways are ready our seven riders.
