Young Frankie recently travelled to the training school to have a session with the NSSPA coaches. From the feedback received it went very well and he will return later in the season. Meanwhile, our own coach, Andy Fielding, will concentrate on making sure young Frankie is fit and ready for the start of the Juvenile Jaunt South Series. His home fans won't have to wait to long to see him in action as Westwood hold the 2nd Event of the season!

14 year old Frankie is in for a busy 6 weeks as he has broken up from school and put his books and protractor in the cupboard as he embarks on intensive training with the Westwood coaches in time for the first Juvenile Jaunt at Iwade this week
His confidence has been bolstered by the news that his dear old dad has invested in a new engine for his son and the supporters club have presented him with a new helmet and goggles.
The youngster will also have a few spins round Thanet Arena after the League Match against Charlemont as the 2nd Round of the Jaunt is at Westwood.

Frankie had his second coaching session at NSSPA where he concentrated on his corning and was given some good advice of looking after his equipment etc in order to get maximum effect. On returning to Westwood he sought further advice from the Team Captain, John Hellsen, who was only too happy to help.
His improvement has been noticed by the steady improvement of his lap times around the Thanet Arena.
