A compact team performance and an early season victory, Goody continued his fine form and Hyde our JJ import from Kings Lynn took a victory in his first heat in competitive meeting, Bekker has started well and apart from Linwood, Irwin and Flint worked hard, Flint after a fall / exclusion came out and won his last heat. So early season thoughts are a win is a WIN!

The Whales pre-season
An indifferent start with 2 wins a draw and 3 losses, saw Carlos Goody and Ian Jacques head up the scoring charts, the rest of the septet were still getting it together, Bekker and Irwin showed their experience will help us, whilst young 'starlet' Flint has work to do. Hyde and Linwood will get looked after as they grow into our sport.

Goody and Jacques were the big hitters tonight, well supported by Bekker, Hyde our JJ import form Kings Lynn showed up well winning his first competitive start. Irwin and Flint settled in OK, with Flint winning his last heat after a fall / exclusion. Skipper Irwin sees his wealth of experience give the younger riders confidence and support with riding techniques. So we say here a win is a WIN!

THE Whales missed out against the Chuffers, going down 42-48 in the Midlands.
Goody was outstanding, whilst Jacques was in good form, but we fell away as the Chuffers were solid throughout and outscored our SS and res.
Looking at the way meetings are going its will be a hard League to predict, at the moment all clubs look capable of beating each other..
COYW!!!!
The Thames Trout put in a very good team performance at Newmarket, the Marauders were 9 points up by heat 10 and still leading at the end of heat 12, with TT needing a 5-1 to grab the points, this was just what they did.
It was Moore and Nixon who brought home the bacon. COYTT!!!

Our Juniors have quietly gone about their business and it is not surprising they have reached the 1/4 Finals.
Adam Moore 9.28, has been a great no1, with support from Dixon 8.11 and Lyons 8.08, with a solid underbelly of Barrett 6.32, Leach 6.08 and Howgego 5.79, Mark a long time Estuary rider, although not a massive points scorer, has found a bit more form this year and leads from the front as our skipper, he has been instrumental in getting the lads up for these meetings, last but not least, it has been a testing year but Short 3.46 has come through it well, he has ambition and a will to learn, which has not gone unseen.
So we now move onto the biggest night in the 'Trout' time with us when we welcome the Aberavon Diamonds to the Flight Path, both teams have in them to progress and in John Coles they have a promoter who has set the valleys alight in recent years.
