Boyd Beaton came back full of confidence about his bike set-up after his visit to the NSSPA coaches. He will be taking this knowledge forward and continue working on this and other points with our own coaches, Roddy Pijper & Dave Hindle. The Maidstone Management are looking forward to his first Juvenile jaunt outing of the season.,

Boyd has just invested in some new equipment in order to gain some speed in preparation for the Juvenile jaunt which is about to start at Iwade. He has been working well with Knights coaches after his visit to the Headquarters Traning School earlier in the month.

Boyd returned to the NSSPA coaching facility this week after his disappointing start to the season in the Juvenile jaunt. having sorted out his equipment problems the coaches there noticed that his position on his new bike wasn't quite right and they have given him some tips on rectifying this.
Following this session our own coaches at Maidstone have concentrated on this during his training sessions with them. Hopefully this will produce dividends in the 3rd Round of the competition and for the rest of the season.

Boyd was very pleased with his win in Round 5 of the JJ South, which he put down to his coaching at the NSSPA and from the coaches at Maidstone.
Also he was honoured to be called up by Scotland for the JJ Home International at Thanet Arena, however he was disappointed that he only managed to score 1 point on the night.
