Ben Harris the clubs No 1 is not happy about his opening performances, but realises that with two new engines coming this week, things will get better. The engines will be tunes by renown Swedish engine tuner B. IKEGOOD.. Bernie "knows his way around a bike" said Harris.
The clubs next meeting is a pre season home and away match with the London Jets. With their No 1, Allen under performing at the moment, the STARS should see their way to an aggregate victory.
Big hit with the fans is "Bote", Stefan Botezatu, the Romanian has upped his average a looks really comfortable at all tracks. It was a bit of a gamble bringing him in on an 8.00 average, Romania is not exactly the hot bed of world speedway.
Marcus Jay, the young 14 year old Stone Cross rider in the Junior Jaunt has been recording some fantastic times in practice, and he is a massive hope for the club in that competition. Marcus attends the Hankham Academy school, and they realise his potential, giving time away for his speedway practice and coaching. He hopes to follow his father in the families bakery business as well as furthering his speedway career.
Team manager Adrian Spencer is soon off on family holidays, New York, Las Vegas, a Mediteranean cruise and a beach holiday in Tenerife so plenty of forward planning will be required with tactics, leaving the administrators with more head aches as Stone Cross appear to have the most intense list of tactics in the League. Still keeps em on their toes, eh !!
