Wednesfield Wanderers, sponsored by Welding Services, progressed into the Quarter Final, where they will meet Canvey Island over 2 legs. With a scoreline of 93-87, it was nip and tuck for the 30 heats, but it was Wednesfield who took the honours. Boris Dvoynev top scored at The Grovedale with 12 paid 13 and he was fantastically backed by Jamie Vaughan who got 10 paid 12.There was solid scores from Phil Hayes (paid 8) and Janne Sarjale (7) The home leg was a bit more comfortable at the Kingo, with the home side 12 points clear (10 on aggregate) after 12 heats before a mini fight back by the Cats. It was Jamie Vaughan who hit the top of the chats with 14 and Boris Dvoynev scored paid 14. Morgan was full of praise after the meeting, "fantastic result, and the team were driven on by Boris and Jamie. They were brilliant in both legs, and Phil Hayes solid middle order got us through and into the Quarters....now we focus on the league and our first meeting of the season. We have nothing to lose ad we will look to get off to a flyer!! The boys are confident, and rallying around Dylan who is finding the going tough at number 2. He will get there so I am quite relaxed at the moment." Morgan has no injury worries ahead of the trip to Canvey Island Steve
