Well, what a squeeze that was, all those fans in one coach for the drive to London, , where they were treated to a great display from their team. Despite leading the match twice, the Stars were unable to hold on for even a point. The performance of Chav Wilkin, the Jets reserve was definitely the difference between the two sides. Top boys Harris and Allen beat each other, but it was the form of Justin Ross that concerned manager Spencer although why the referee decided to exclude him in heat 12 "I will never know" he said. Young Craig Howland put in a fine collection of rides, gating well and leading every race, and then to finish with 8 paid 9 was probably a disappointment for him, but away from home it was fine. After winning the Junior Jaunt event last year, Ross How's first league encounter was topped by a fine win in heat 8. "With this sort of performance away from home, I'm sure the other managers would like to change their prediction for league winners now" Spencer said, tongue in cheek. Adrian Spencer would like to announce that Wednesday 29th July will be his 59th birthday and despite being on a wife inducted diet, all cakes will be received with great thanks. LOL
