WEEK 1
The long trek back to Wales after the K.O.Cup was worth it for the Wizards fans just to see the magnificent maximum from Linus Cedergren and although Westwood got closer to their Hosts this time they were unable to come away with the league points as they went down by 4. Whist the rest of the team were solid Carlos Goody struggled and failed to score.
On this form the Wizards look like a mid-table side but a greater test awaits in their first Home league match as they face league leaders Charlemont.

WEEK 2
I wonder if both managers left Thanet Arena scratching their heads wondering if it was a point won or a point left after Westwood and Charlemont had thrilled the crowd with a wonderful drawn meeting!
The visitors got off to the best of starts with a 5-1 and when they repeated that feat in Heat 4 to go 8 points clear the Home crowd went silent. An Away looked even more on the cards when Tactical Substitute, Johnny Calder trailed in last in Heat 8 But when Johnny made amends when winning Heat 8 to produce a much needed 5-1 the fight back was on. To that end the teams were level after 13 heats and then shared a 3-3 in Heat 14. To top it all Linus Chad the Wizards fans on their feet as he held of Neil Johnston for 4 laps to secure a share of the League points. Linus Cedergren for Westwood and Neil Johnston for Charlemont were outstanding.
Only time will tell in the end as to which time gained a point!

WEEK 3
Bottesford were right in this meeting up until Heat 12when they were holding Westwood to 4 points, but the Wizards bit the Bullets with a 4-2 and two 5-1s in the last 3 Heats to run-out comfortable winners in the end.
It was good to see Johnny Calder back in the big points, but it was reserve, Donnie Reeves, who took the pludits on this occasion with a fine paid 12 point haul from 5 rides. Bottesford look solid but seemed to lack the fire power of an out and out Number 1

WEEK 4
The fine away draw for Westwood at Hull as marred by a bad fall in Heat 1 which left Niall Lowriston with a broken arm, which will see hi out of action for at least 5 weeks.
The Wizards rallied round with reserve, Carlos Goody, producing his best performance of the season with10 paid 11 points from his marathon 7 rides on the night. Linus Cedergren and John Hellsen had good nights with Derek Landels the stand-out rider for the Home side.
As soon as the new averages are released and the Transfer Window is open the Wizards ill be dipping into the Transfer Market to secure a replacement for Niall.

WEEK 5
The Wizards put in a great performance beating the Braves by 10 points and by doing so went to the top of the Academy League table.
Having to use rider Replacement for the injured Niall Lowriston,Westwood knuckled down to their task and were lead superbly by Glen Harmison with 17 points. The Home side had the cushion of an 8 point lead by the end of Heat 3 thanks to two 5-1s and despite some good Tactical substitutions by the visitors they were unable to get on terms with their opponents even though Bradley Foster managed to equal Harmison's 17 point haul.
