Canvey Island 49 v Wednesfield wanderers 41 league meeting
CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS 49
1. Fredrik Andersen.......... 3 3 1 3 2 - 12
2. Des Dixon................. 0 1 0 3 - - 4
3. Markuu Koskela............ 1 1* 1 2* - - 5+2
4. Erik Giarnaset............ 3 2 3 2 1* - 11+1
5. Rafal Narozny............. 3 3 X - - - 6 (I)
6. Rhodri Szczygiel.......... 2 1 1 3 0 1* 8+1
7. Dale Hawkins.............. 0 1 2 - - - 3
This was a good start to our league campaign i thought that the Wanderers would push us and they put up a spirited defence against the surfer boys but in the end we were to strong for them well pleased with this result and what made it even better was that Rafal Narozny had a huge crash in his third race and couldn't take any further part in the meeting but thankfully there were no broken bones and he walked away winded and a bad headache doctors said he should be ok for our next meeting so fingers crossed.
the other pleasing aspect of this meeting was the way the rest of the riders pulled together and at last our two reserves scored some useful points so all in all a good win well pleased with them all.
This week we are off the the Milton Keynes cats we won there a few weeks ago in a challenge but this i'm sure will be a lot tougher will the Cats give us a mauling or will the super cool surfer boys ride the big wave onto victory lets hope so see you next week for another update on the Castaways from Canvey.
