Kings given a kicking
"Thank God for Joe Finch" was Craig Richardsons reaction after Wantage were soundly beaten at Wednesfield. Not only did he single handedly take the fight to the home side, but he also won the bonus point run off to ensure they didn't go home empty handed.
Kings asset Neil Johnston led the way for the home side, riding as if he had a point to prove, and he got plenty of support.
"Apart from Joe we were second best every where. Wednesfield are very strong at home, and if they can learn to ride away they will be a force to be reckoned with. We were expecting a tough ride but we were never in it. That wasn't good enough from us and we had words after. We need to be better than that. But we've got the perfect opportunity to make everything better when our friends from across the border come visiting next week."
Kings make another change
No sooner had the dust settled on the Kings defeat at Wednesfield when the club announced a change, with Uwe Asche replacing the unfortunate Simon Chatham for the 2nd time this season. Asche comes in after the new averages allowed a change to be made which strengthens the Kings bottom end with Bradley Foster dropping to reserve.
He makes his debut in the local derby at home to Blunsdon next week.
