London Jets supremo Alan Baylee, was seething after seeing fall short in a last heat decider. With his team 4 points down going into heat 15, the 2 riders expected to be racing in it, Allen and Cervenka, didn't race together, it was Allen and Hennesy. Baylee said, " I checked and double checked and it clearly stated "top 2 in heat 15" both Allen and Cervenka had 11 each from 4 rides so we fancied our chances of snatching another draw, but Hennesy was put in......no offence to Tom but he ain't no Vaclav!!!!" Heat 15 ended a 3-3 and the Jets lost by 4. Baylee added, "the NSSPA have some answering to do in the matter. Heat 15 should be re run as a minimum.....I asked them this morning, had no reply so we have gone public....."

He's not happy !! Now if they had got a 5-1 and therefore a draw, would it be ok to run it again with the correct riders and you lose, how long is a bit of string. Don't think I would have spotted that. Not going to show you my tactics before our next meeting, LOL. Ade

Ade You are asked to post your tactics the least you expect especially for heat 15 is them to be followed. The result could have still been 3-3, but my "top 2" had dropped 2 points all night!! It could even gone against, I'm wondering what will now happen....as I haven't seen it before Steve London Jets Franchise Owner

Sorry Steve, I was trying to laugh it off, but I guess the guys have so much info to take in that there will be a mistake or two along the way. I hav'nt a clue how they run meetings, decide who beats who in each race, decide who gets injured etc etc. I have a vision of them all sitting around a table with many different coloured dice a bit like Monopoly !!, but I would imagine the tactical info is fed into a computer, the GO button pressed and there ya go, a result. It would be interesting to know. Ade Just found yours. Cervenka had already beaten their top two earlier in the meeting too.

Steve
Fred will answer your complaint when he returns on Thursday.
Ade
each individual race is done seperately as per managers tactics,we use the speedway meeting programme(which has it own mind how races finish)
We use rider editors and a host of other factors which we feed into the programme,if changes are needed we have to write these down seperately
to add after the meeting is run, also if a rider gets injured we have a calculator programme which again takes into account of track etc and that is fed
into it.
Averages, tables etc then have to be done to go on the website to give everyone the finished article.
hope this helps
Robert

Cheers Robert, that's useful to know. Just thought it funny that a group of anoraks (me included) sat around a table argueing over what the dice said. That was probably SIM in 1960's. Also sounds like a hell of a lot of effort for you guys, I hope everyone in SIM (and I've only been here 5 minutes) appreciates the admin work put in. Thanks Again Ade

APOLOGY
The controversy surrounding the picking of Hennesy over the obvious rider Cervenka in heat 15 in the week 3 meeting Rowley v London was an admin oversight.
I believe I clicked on the wrong rider from the drop down box and failed to check, so I take full responsibility for the mistake.
On this occasion I did re-run the race and it remained at 3 -3 (Turner, Cervenka, Allen, Uljas) so I feel if we can accept that not to much damage was done and allow the result to stand,
I have been given a reminder to make final checks before running heat 15's.
Once again APOLOGIES, but onwards and upwards.
Fred
