Both managers must have been scratching their heads after their K.O.Cup Quarter Final clash, which saw the knights progress to the Semi-Finals by 2 points!
It seemed as though it was going to be all to easy for Maidstone as they left The Den with an 8 point lead thanks to a great all round performance from the Knights riders.
However, the Maidstone fans were kept quiet for most of the night as the Bengals fought like Tigers and after a 5-1 in Heat 4 from Komac & Pullen the visitors led by 2 points. This was followed by 6 consecutive 3-3s. By Heat 13 Bletchley had extended their lead to 4 points. But, whilst needing at least a 3-3 to keep the tie alive the Knights impressive reserve Alex Van Maurik shot from the gate and with Lee Nobles finishing 3rd Maidstone were home and dry despite a valiant 5-1 from the Bengals in the last heat of the night.
