Westwood have decided to use the Individual week to run the:
SILVER SORTING HAT The meeting has been designed for Academy League Riders who were in a Reserve Berth at the start of the season, with their Season Starting Average being used for this completion. It is a chance to see younger riders and some more experienced ones in an Individual and maybe see a future World Champion in the making!
The clubs from the higher divisions will no doubt be sending their scouts to look for the younger prospects.
There will be 20 Heats with a run-off, if needed, for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places. Come along and cheer your favourite in the first ever Individual Meeting ever held at The Thanet Arena.
RIDERS APPEARING ARE: Ronan Cave(Rowley) 3.26 Bennie Freeburn(Rowley) 4.58 Nicol Urquhart(Hull) 3.78 Tommy Davey(Hull) 4.36 Reece Kilby(Stone Cross) 3.13 Craig Howland(Stone Cross) 3.65 Donnie Reeves(Westwood) 4.02 Carlos Goody(Westwood) 4.04 Davie Langfield(Abertillery) 4.70 Lewie Carr(Bottesford) 4.32 Luke Patryk(Sheffield) 4.50 Lewis Drager(Charlemont) 3.00 Maxie North(Burslem) 4.70 T.J.Imbert(London) 3.76 Edwin Ebbs(Hailsham) 3.33 Ian Lennon(Charlemont) 3.73

Whilst Home fans will be shouting for Donnie (Vic)Reeves and hoping that Carlos(the Bandit) Goody can keep up his fine run of recent form.

Goody & Reeves Ready to Grab the Hat!
Westwood reserves, Donnie Reeves and Carlos Goody have been receiving extra coaching in time for their night in the spotlight as the Wizards host their first Individual meeting - The Silver Sorting Hat on Monday Night.
Carlos was very upbeat when he said " I feel I'm just running into a good vain of form and am looking forward to our big as reserves don't often get a chance to star in their own meeting and all the riders are grateful for this chance" Meanwhile, Donny Reeves said " This is a great opportunity for all of us taking part and I hope I can give our fans something to shout about!"
One way or another it looks like being another great night at the Thanet Arena after their staging of the first JJ Home International of the season.

Great Idea I hope the crowds flock in - Luke Patryk has regretfully returned to his parent club Sheffield but I'm sure he'll be looking to put himself in the shop window - Lewie Carr, meanwhile has washed his Kevlars and serviced his engine and cleaned his carburettor and is revving up for this one !
Regards
Paul (Bottesford)

Bloody hell, go away for a few days and my riders are appearing everywhere. Had I had been here I would probably have declined the offer, if you can, we are top of the league and cannot afford any silly injuries !!

Didn't mean to worry you by picking your riders but I don't think you can get injured from these meetings as we run them ourselves! and as I have an injured rider already I wouldn't have run the meeting if I thought that could happen!

No probs. Just surprised, nobody is using Harris, Ross or Botezatu but my useless reserve Kilby gets a booking, still, may bring on a bit. Ade

Ade As said before not much interest in the Individuals so not much interest in anyone, I am running a coaches event so the only riders used there are 6 JJ riders not involved in the Home Internationals.

RAPTOR ROARS IN! After being beaten in his first ride of the evening nobody thought that Rowley's Bennie Freeburn would rattle up four heats wins to take the Silver Sorting Hat at Westwood's Thanet arena with 14 points. London's T.J.Lambert pushed him all the way and needed to win Heat 20 to force a run-off for the title. However he was passed by ex-Bottesford reserve, Luke Patryk, on the last lap and had to settle for 2nd place overall with 13 points. Three riders finished with 10 points Maxie North(Burslem), Craig Howland(Stone Cross) & Donnie Reeves(Westwood) and a run-off was needed to decide the last podium position..
Heat 21 Saw Howland make the gate but Donnie reeves track knowledge enabled him to pass him on the 2nd lap and finish 3rd overall. Westwood's other rider in the line-up , Carlos Goody, had a strange evening as after rolling off two heat wins in his first two rides proceeded in finishing last in his next two only to win his last outing! Lewie Carr(Bottesford) fell in Heat 1 and was a little shaken and to didn't take the remainder of his rides on the night but will be fit for his next meetings.
The Westwood management would like to thank their sponsers, Eagle Insurance as well as all the riders taking part in making the night a memorable one1 Besides donating all the trophies Eagle Insurance presented prizes to each Heat Winner and free gifts to the fans. The firework display at the end of the meeting was a great success and all of the riders stayed behind to meet the fans.
